MS Access Database Files Error Fix Tips

MS Access is one of the best database management systems which provide a good range of features to create database files. It uses .mdb and .accdb as file extension. In MS Access 2003 and its earlier versions it uses .mdb while in 2007 & 2010 it uses .accdb as a file extension. It has become the first choice for all businesses and organizations to manage their large databases due to its wide availability and user friendly interface.

But there is fact about database file format. As it stores a large amount of data and information so it can be corrupted at any point of time. Sometimes we open our database file and modify or edit the content inside the file it can become corrupted and due to the corruption the file becomes unusable. There could be a number of factors which can affect our database files. Here are some most common factors:
  1. Virus and Trojan Infections;
  2. File System Damage;
  3. Crashed in System Hard Drive;
  4. Sudden Cancellation of MS Access Program;
  5. Using Invalid Content in Database;
  6. Abruptly System Shutdown;
  7. Software Malfunction, etc.
Whenever we try to access or open a corrupt database file it throws a particular piece of error on our screen that tells us about corruption. There are several errors which can take place at the time of file corruption:
  • "Unrecognized Database Format."
  • "The database name.mdb is not a database file."
  • "The database is in an unexpected state."
  • "Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."
  • "Microsoft Access has detected corruption in this file."
  • "MS Access can't open the table in datasheet view."
  • "Enter database password - even though none was set up."
  • "The Microsoft Jet Engine cannot open this file."
  • "The database…needs to be repaired or isn't a database file.
  • These are some common error messages which frequently appear at the time of file corruption. A corrupt file is nothing but useless until it gets fully repaired. Database managers who manage the database of big organizations generally create backup for those databases. A backup file for large databases must be updated regularly. If we have a valid and updated backup then we can easily restore our database files which have been corrupted. But what can be done if there is no valid backup or the backup file gets itself damaged? That point of time we can look for a software application which can help us. We can neither repair backup file nor corrupted database file manually. As an intelligent user we always use software application to repair our corrupt database files. It successfully repairs highly corrupt database (.mdb/.accdb) files and recovers our data from them what we can't do manually. Therefore using MS Access database repair software program is the smartest solution for us.
